OUR BEGINNINGS & GROWTH
History
RICHBAY consists of a group of companies ranging from property, trading and operational.
Richbay started in 1978 manufacturing speciality industrial chemicals. The founder, JJ Klopper, spearheaded the company and eventually expanded the trade well into the African market as well as the African rim countries.
RICHBAY has grown into a well-established chemical supplier and in 2005 the company adopted the MOTTO:
SUSTAINABLE CHEMICAL SOLUTIONS. The company started their own transport division in 2005 and currently have 4 active branches
RICHBAY CHEMICALS (PTY) LTD is currently a level 3 generic company but we are striving to reach level 2 by the end of 2023.

Is there a minimum order requirement?
There is not a minimum order requirement. There is an option for delivery (at an additional cost) or to collect from any of our branches.
Do you have credit facilities available?
Yes we do offer credit facilities and the application will go through a credit approval process.
Do you offer discount on bulk orders?
Discounts on bulk orders are subject to certain criteria and can be discussed with your sales representative
Do you deliver?
We do offer deliveries on orders. The different delivery options and costing can be discussed with your sales representative.
What is the lead time on orders?
Lead times differ on the various products. We aim to have orders ready within 48hrs of order placement. Unless manufacturing is required, that lead time will then be discussed with you in detail when order is placed.
Do you provide SDS’s and COA’s with orders?
We supply COA’s on request.
Can you manufacture chemicals for me?
We offer a blending service to customers. We will require a formula and will manufacture according to your specifications.
